Record group 67-91 consists of two set of records of the Michigan Dept. of Licensing and Regulation, Board of Examiners in Mortuary Science for the years 1935-1966. The first set of records are minutes of the Board of Examiners in Mortuary Science and its predecessor agency, the State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors (1935-1966). The second set of records are selected executive records (1944-1956). Includes: lecture by Secretary Clingersmith at Wayne State University (1944); circuit judge Carl M. Weidman's decision regarding business status of funeral directing and embalming services; selected correspondence relating to schools and apprenticeship programs (1948); rules and regulations (Sept. 20, 1954); and formal ruling on corporate status (1956).
